If that MYAirline collapse last week, which sent would-be passengers scrambling and other airlines scooping them up, smelled a tad, you were right. Founder Allan Goh Hwan Hua was arrested Tuesday, along with his wife and son on financial crimes allegations, police said Wednesday. “Police have obtained a four-day remand from Wednesday for them to assist investigations under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001,” Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf, director of the police commercial crime investigation department, said, as per Straits Times.
Former prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin is copping it, whether he deserves it or not. Muhyiddin took to Facebook Wednesday, denying he had anything to do with it and clarifying he was not PM when MYAirlines was granted its licence, as per MalayMail. Unfortunately for him, MYAirlines has turned to the legal services of Rosli Dahlan Saravana Partnership — the same RDS representing Muhyiddin in his defo battle with current PM, Anwar Ibrahim.
